Living Your Best Life

While you’re reading this, probably sitting in a comfy chair with a cup of coffee, Team Strong will be in the sweltering Mexican heat building homes for 2 families who are in desperate need of a roof over their head. We will be totally out of our comfort zone and hopefully loving every minute of it!

It is something we know God has called us to as a family, and so we are taking a deep breath, stepping out in obedience, and walking into this adventure God has for us.

But let’s be honest, I know not everyone will get the opportunity to serve in Mexico, and really, not everyone would want that opportunity! But what I do know is this, that God has called you to live the best life that you can. Not to live someone else’s life, wishing for something different or even living in the shadows of others, but to live the life He always intended for you.

In the book of Esther, Mordecai tells Esther that she was made Queen “For such a time as this” (Esther 4:14)
I don’t believe that God does random or coincidence!  Yes, we have a choice and free will, but I believe that God plans and orchestrates our path and He always has the bigger picture in mind. So just like Queen Esther, we were born for such a time as this.

You, my friend, were born for such a time as this! It is not a coincidence that you are where you are right now and it is not by chance that you are living the life you are living. There is no one else on this planet who is like you, no one who can do what you can do. No one else can influence your circle of friends, your family, or your community like you can!

So because you are not a mistake, and God has you where He wants you, then go live the best life you can.

What does it mean to live your best life? It will look different for each one of us, but I do know that it means we are called to live the life God has for us and not waste our time and energy wishing for anything different. Be the best you can, the best Mum, friend, wife, the best worker, the best student, the best you, you can be!

Whether it’s in the mundane or the extraordinary, go out this week and live the best life that you can! Don’t look around and wish you were living someone else’s life, wishing you had what they had or were on the path they were on, because really, you may not know the full story of what they have been through to get where they are today.

Instead, look at your own life, and see the Blessings around you, see the people God has called you to influence and see the path that God has you on. You may not be called to go to Mexico (or maybe you are!) but you can go and live the best life that only you can live.
