It’s A New Year….But Am I Ready?

Happy New Year!

Okay, I know I am a little late….it’s been 2016 for 2 weeks now but as with every year, I am easing myself into it!

For some reason, every Jan I try to avoid the fact that it’s a new year and I need to kick myself and get into the year. It’s not that I don’t want to get into the year, I think its more the fact that I don’t want Christmas and the holidays to end.

But alas, it is reality, Christmas is well and truly over. But don’t be too sad at that, it’s only 347 sleeps till next Christmas! Anyway, back to this year, 2016 is here now and I need to be too!

And so this week I have been spending some time thinking about what 2016 holds for me. Now I have learnt over time to make plans and goals loosely and let God be God, as sometimes His idea’s of what my year will look like, and my idea’s, can be quite different! But I have been praying and dreaming with Him and I think we are on the same page….well at least for this week!

As much as I have been avoiding it, God has placed an excitement in my heart that seem to be growing daily and I am super excited about this year.

Last year was a huge year of change for us, and a steep learning curve for me. I had to trust God more than I have had to in a long time, and rest in Him when things didn’t make sense or weren’t adding up in my head.

I have a sense that this year is not just going to be a year of settling into life in TA. I know God is going to stretch me (again) beyond my comfort zone and ask me to step out further onto the water! I’m not sure I am ready for that, but it’s the kind of thing you can never fully be ready for….right?

I am excited to see some the dreams I have laid down, picked up again and for God to breathe life into them. I am excited for some of the plans I have swirling around in my head for the women at North End Church. I am super excited at the thought of impacting our community and I am ridiculously excited about what God has in store for Team Strong! (That may just include a trip to my most favourite country in the whole world, to see some of my most favourite people!)

Yep, 2016 is going to be a great year!
