Where To Begin…..

Well, it’s been a little while since I have written.

It’s almost a little hard to know where to start. So much has happened, so I think I’ll start with a wee update and go into detail in later blogs!

My last post was on my recent diagnosis of RA (rheumatoid arthritis) If you missed that, you can read it here.
I have been back and forth with my specialist trying to get my meds right. We are not quite there yet, but I think we are slowly getting there. I am under a great team and am so happy with the care I’ve been given so far.
The side effects of the meds are not great, but to be able to use my hands again, is def worth it!
It is now just a matter of learning to live a little differently and take a little more notice of my health and the way things affect me. It’s been a steep learning curve, but one I know I will eventually be able to manage well.

I am still believing for a miracle, and until that day, I will do all I can to make life easier to live with this disease.

Phil and I have just returned from 6 weeks of Sabbatical leave. It was an incredible time (check out my Instagram or Facebook to see some of our photos) and I will be writing future blogs on some of the things we got to experience. It was an amazing trip of a lifetime and we felt God with us every step of the way.
God spoke loud and clear to me while away and I have come home with a renewed knowledge of what God is calling me to do! Again, I will write about this in future blogs.

When we left NZ, we handed back the keys to the rental we were staying in and temporarily moved into our house in Mangakino. It’s a project house we are renovating and there’s lots of work to be done, but it has running water and a flushing toilet so we are all good! There’s no hurry to do all the renovations so we will plug away at them over the summer, and probably the next few summers!

We are currently building a house in TA which they are hoping to have finished in March, and we are super excited to be moving into that in the New Year. I already have planned where my Christmas Tree will go next Christmas and cannot wait to be fully settled in.

Our Baby Girl got engaged 2 days before we went overseas, and now we’re back, we are in the full throws of planning a Wedding. We are so excited for her, and we absolutely love Kelan who fits perfectly into our family.
The Wedding is in April so it’s all guns blazing!

The kids bought a new house and moved in 2 days after we got back. It’s an awesome house, and thankfully still in TA, close to their old Mum! We are super proud of how hard they have worked to make it happen and are looking forward to lots of BBQ’s on their new deck.

Pepper had a fabulous holiday with the kids while we were overseas. She was spoilt rotten and it took us a couple of days to get her settled into her crate at night again, as she had been living her best life and sleeping on Jacksons bed.

As of today, it is only 31 sleeps till Christmas! I haven’t gone overboard decorating this year as most of our decorations are in storage, but I still have 100% of my Christmas spirit! The music is blasting, the movies are playing and I’m super excited to spend it with family.

My book seems to be taking forever to get published because of travel, health issues, and moving house. But it’s now ready for the first proof before it goes to publication.
I cannot wait for it to be out there, and have started working on Book number 2!

I’m sure there’s stuff I”ve missed, but for now, that’s the update in a nutshell!
Oh, and I have some exciting things happening to my blog in the New Year, so keep an eye out for that too!

Till next time, thanks as always for reading
Kathy
