What Is The Kindness Project?

If you follow me on social media at all, you may have noticed quite a few posts from the Kindness Project.

And you may be asking yourself “what even is the kindness project”?

Well, The Kindness Project is my latest baby!
For the last 2 years, I have had it on my heart, that the way we are going to change our world is through kindness.
Now before you all message me saying that Jesus is the answer, I totally agree with you, He is the ultimate answer! Without Him, there is very little hope. But I also know that He asks us to partner with Him to change our world. And we are to do what He is calling us to do, right? He is calling me to do The Kindness Project. 

Phil and I have always had the philosophy that you love people till they ask why. And I believe by showing kindness to people, they will eventually ask why.

 

I love getting asked why:
Why do you love Jesus?
Why do you do what you do?
Why do you volunteer your time?
Why do you work with young girls?
Why do you give of yourself?
Why do you care so much?

My answer always comes back to Jesus, but if they don’t see my actions, how will they know to ask why?

And so The Kindness Project has been birthed. I have a thousand idea’s for what I want to do and where I want to take it, but for now, social media is my key to attack. To bombard the internet with quotes on kindness, to subliminally work in people so that kindness becomes second nature to them! So that they see kindness more than they see all the negative out there! So that kindness would become who we are and not just what we do….although that is a good start!

I am pretty excited to see where kindness will take us. Blatant kindness, random acts of kindness, kindness veiled in secrecy, kindness towards each other, and even kindness towards our planet. All kinds of kindness have the ability to not only change someone’s day but who knows, it may even change their life!
